Ready for your close-up? This spring, the film industry’s top filmmakers and movie buffs will flock to the Orlando area for the Florida Film Festival (FFF).

The star-fueled event takes place from April 10 – 19, 2026, and features over 180 film screenings, networking events, and an amazing awards ceremony. As you mix, mingle, and marvel at movies, you may even spot a celeb or two.

Here’s everything you need to know about the 35th annual Florida Film Festival.

Key Takeaways

What Kinds of Films Can I See at the Festival?

The Florida Film Festival has something for every type of cinephile, from documentary devotees to animation aficionados.

While the jury is still selecting the 2026 lineup (to be announced in March), the festival always features a mix of short and feature films across all genres, including celebrated classic movies.

Many of the classic film screenings end with panel discussions or Q&As with big names in Hollywood.

In 2025, actress Cristina Ricci appeared at Enzian for a 30th anniversary screening of the film Now and Then.

Additionally, actress Mia Farrow was the guest of honor last year for a showing of Rosemary’s Baby, followed by an in-depth conversation and deep dive into her remarkable career.

Other celebrities who have made FFF appearances in past years include Natasha Lyonne, John Cleese, William Shatner, Emma Stone, Susan Sarandon, and Glenn Close.

The Florida Film Festival takes place in the Orlando suburbs of Maitland and Winter Park, north of the city.

Much of the action will take place at Enzian, the area’s only indie movie theater.

The Maitland movie house features comfy seating and a full-service bar and grill where you can order a snack and craft beer from the comfort of your chair. Stop by the outdoor dining area between films to sip a cocktail under the shade of stately oak trees.

Other screenings will be hosted at the Regal theater in nearby Winter Park Village.

What Makes this Film Festival Special?

The quality of films shown at the FFF helps it outshine most film festivals.

For short films to be considered for an Academy Award, they need to be screened at an Oscar-qualifying festival

Of the thousands of film festivals in the United States, fewer than 40 have this designation. Additionally, only one of these festivals takes place in the Sunshine State: The Florida Film Festival.

In fact, the FFF is one of only a handful of Oscar-qualifying festivals in three short categories, including Animated Short Film, Live Action Short Film, and Documentary Short Subject.

Filmmakers know that the FFF can put their movie on the map, which is why some of the best pieces in the genre end up as features at the film festival.

    How Do I Get Tickets?

Tickets for individual showings at the 2026 Florida Film Festival will go on sale on the Enzian Theater website soon. Festival passes and tickets to the Opening Night Film & Party are already available for purchase.

Last year, it cost around $13 to watch a single film. Attendees who wanted to watch multiple movies could purchase tickets in bulk packages starting at $60 for five films.

The FFF also has special passes for superfans.

All-access passes in 2026 range between $125 for matinee-only entry to $350 for admission to all films.

If you still want more movie fun, consider one of the festival’s VIP passes. This year, these range between $675 and $1,500 and include admission to exclusive events like the opening night party.

Where Should I Stay while Attending the Florida Film Festival?

Consider staying at Rosen Shingle Creek for the Florida Film Festival.

Our Orlando hotel provides luxurious accommodations a short drive away from Maitland and Winter Park.

When you’re not celebrating the silver screen, enjoy star treatment at our on-site restaurants, spa, pools, and golf course.

How about relaxing in your cozy bed while watching more great films? Connect your smartphone to your in-room TV to stream from your favorite app. Order in-room dining service 24/7 for a truly VIP movie-going experience.

Rosen Shingle Creek is a AAA Four Diamond hotel for a variety of reasons, including its superior hospitality, beautiful accommodations, and deluxe amenities.

At our resort, we absolutely love hosting. Whether it’s a conference for thousands of people or an intimate, romantic getaway for couples, we pull out the red carpet for our guests every chance we can.

So, when it comes to events and holidays at Rosen Shingle Creek, extravagance is always on the menu.

This year’s Easter celebration on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Cala Bella is no exception.

A beautiful table spread with a roast ham, deviled eggs, charcuterie, yellow flowers, and mimosas.

Here’s a sneak peek at our beautiful 2026 Easter brunch menu at Rosen Shingle Creek.

    Key Takeaways

Raise a Glass to Easter Sunday Brunch

Celebratory holidays demand a celebratory drink. At our beautiful brunch, we’re delighted to offer you an array of unlimited libations to pair with your meal.

Our mimosa and bellini bar blends refreshing sparkling wine with your choice of fruity flavoring.

Mix your bubbly with orange, grapefruit, cranberry, or pineapple juice for a mesmerizing mimosa, or opt for a bellini made with a thicker white peach, strawberry, pear, or mango purée.

If you prefer your cocktail on the savory side, visit the Bloody Mary bar. Choose between regular, spicy, or smoky Bloody Mary mix and adorn your drink with garnishes including housemade jerky, bacon skewers, chorizo and Manchego skewers, and stuffed olives.

Begin Your Day with Our Breakfast Display

Brunch just wouldn’t be brunch without its fair share of breakfast options.

Reimagine the most important meal of the day with classic dishes including eggs benedict, fluffy homemade biscuits with sausage gravy, and a smoked salmon bagel with whipped caper cream cheese and juicy tomato.

If you prefer your breakfast on the sweeter side, begin with a slice of cinnamon babka French toast topped with Turkish coffee, whipped mascarpone, pistachio, and an apple and sugarcane compote. Hot beignets with powdered sugar are another house favorite.

One of our talented chefs will be making crepes to order at a designated station. Top delicate, warm crepes with your choice of toppings, including mascarpone cream, fruits like bananas, strawberries, and mango, or caramel and chocolate sauce.

Transition from breakfast to lunch fare with elegant brunch plates like ham cured smoked baby back ribs with a bourbon and pineapple glaze, flaky and tender beef wellington, and a grilled lamb loin kabob served with creamy tzatziki.

    Enjoy Inspired Entrees

A waiter places a tray of oysters in front of a seated guest at a table with ham, yellow flowers, and other dishes.

Many of the flavors on our Easter menu reflect the style of its host restaurant, Cala Bella. You’ll find a variety of Italian and Mediterranean flavors and fresh ingredients, some of which are grown onsite in our very own garden, Emma’s Creekside Farm.

Enjoy an array of fresh veggie-forward dishes including a beet salad with sweet roasted grapes and salty gorgonzola, or a classic tomato and buffalo mozzarella Caprese.

Other special starters include an oven roasted confit artichoke heart with soft stracciatella cheese, beef carpaccio with smoked shoyu (soy sauce), and tuna tostada with avocado and fennel.

Seafood lovers can look forward to a plentiful raw bar with fresh oysters, shrimp, top neck clams, and tuna sashimi. If you enjoy sushi, treat yourself to hand-rolled nigiri showcasing colorful cuts of buttery-soft fish.

If you prefer your seafood served warm, the clam chowder station will be serving bowls of piping hot soup served alongside mini biscuits and a hot sauce bar.

At the buffet, you’ll find comforting Italian favorites like meatballs served with smooth whipped ricotta and marina. Prepare your palate for pastas like trofie cacio e pepe, rigatoni all’Amatriciana, and lasagna layered with wagyu beef bolognese and bechamel.

Help yourself to succulent slices of prime rib at the carving station, slow smoked to perfection.

Sides are served family-style and include mashed potatoes and a variety of roasted garden vegetables, sweet potatoes, and local mushrooms.

    Leave Room for Dessert

A hand in a black jacket passes a plate of food to a woman at a table with a mimosa, salad bowls, and two plates of elegant tarts.

At Rosen Shingle Creek, we pull out all the stops when it comes to dessert.

This year, we’re excitedly treating guests to an incredible assortment of sweets.

Finish (or start) your meal with delicate petit gateaux in flavors like apple almond cinnamon, passionfruit mango honey, black sesame cherry, and orange vanilla.

Elegant desserts like Meyer lemon tartlets, pineapple curd meringue and chocolate gianduja creme shooters, and mango lemongrass pâtes de fruits will add color to a beautiful dessert display.

If your sweet tooth aches for more, help yourself to tropical caramel or sour cherry bonbons, or help pick apart a magnificent macaron tower or croquembouche tower.

We’re Saving Your Seat at the Rosen Shingle Creek Easter Sunday Brunch

A waiter in black hands a plate with a large cut of meat and vegetables to a woman over a table with a mimosa, a wooden tray of fancy desserts, and a plate with sushi and charcuterie.

We’re looking forward to hosting you for our spectacular Easter Sunday brunch from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This year, adults can enjoy our beautiful menu for $157.95 per person. Children ages 4 through 11 dine for $65.95 per child, and little ones 3 and under are free.

A 20% taxable service charge and 6.5% sales tax also apply.

Complimentary valet and self-parking are included in the experience, as well.

Make your reservations and view the full Easter menu on our website. We look forward to hosting you for a memorable experience soon.

    January 2, 2026

Spring is finally here in Orlando, and our world-class theme parks are ready to celebrate the season!

From February to June, you’ll find several theme park festivals commemorating holidays, culture, and nature with playful celebrations.

A young girl wearing citrus Minnie Mouse ears stands in a garden smiling, with three colorful butterflies resting on her finger, chest, and nose.

Walt Disney World® Resort’s EPCOT, Universal Studios Florida, and SeaWorld Orlando are all joining in another year of springtime fun with events included in the cost of admission.

If you’re looking for a special way to celebrate a fresh new season, check out these three fun Orlando theme park festivals to enjoy this spring.

    Key Takeaways

EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival

A dad and his daughter sit on a short brick wall together in front of a lit garden display featuring a topiary of Princess Tiana at EPCOT in the spring.

The International Flower & Garden Festival is one of four annual festivals held at EPCOT throughout the year. In 2026, you can attend the festival every day from March 4 through June 1.

This particular celebration brings the theme park to life with breathtaking themed garden displays featuring topiaries of beloved animated Disney characters and nearly 30 million flowers.

As you wander throughout EPCOT, you might spot living sculptures of familiar faces such as Anna and Elsa, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Winnie the Pooh and friends, Belle and the Beast, and many more.

There are also educational gardens that teach visitors about topics like the importance of honeybees, prehistoric dinosaur-era plants, and special plants and flowers that attract songbirds.

Scattered around EPCOT are a series of festival-exclusive outdoor kitchens serving innovative small bites made with fresh, colorful ingredients and international flavors.

The International Flower & Garden Festival concert series, Garden Rocks, hosts a full schedule of live performances from internationally recognized artists and local bands. While this year’s lineup has yet to be announced, guests jammed to the tunes of musicians like Rick Springfield, Sugar Ray, Simple Plan, 98 Degrees, Plain White T’s, and many more last year.

Of course, these spring festivities are bonuses to EPCOT’s permanent attractions, rides, shows, and World Showcase countries.

SeaWorld Orlando Seven Seas Food Festival

A couple laugh together while holding food, enjoying the Seven Seas Food Festival at SeaWorld Orlando.

The Seven Seas Food Festival at SeaWorld Orlando draws foodies, music lovers, and theme park enthusiasts to Orlando from around the world every spring. Typically held from late January to early May, it’s an exciting way to experience the wonders of SeaWorld.

The Seven Seas Food Festival introduces 25 marketplaces to the theme park, serving up classic and innovative dishes and drinks from around the world.

Guests can experience flavors from regions like Italy, the Mediterranean, Brazil, India, Germany, and Mexico.

Access to the festival is included in the cost of admission, and food and beverages are available for purchase. Sampling lanyards are available, offering 10 or 15 samples for a set discounted price.

The Seven Seas Food Festival Concert Series hosts artists at Bayside Stadium throughout the season. In 2025, headliners included Sara Evans, Shaggy, Jordin Sparks, ZZ Top, and Soulja Boy, to name a few.

Throughout the festival, the cultural adventures continue with additional themed events in honor of holidays like St. Patrick’s Day and Mardi Gras.

While you’re in the theme park for the festival, make time for the heart-pounding thrills of SeaWorld Orlando’s thrilling roller coasters, wonderful animal exhibits, and other attractions.

It’s also important to note that, while included with your admission ticket, the Seven Seas Food Festival only operates Thursdays through Sundays from noon until the park closes.

Universal Studios Florida’s Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval

Three guests dance in the streets at Universal Studios Florida with colorfully costumed performers during Carnaval.

Universal Orlando Resort joins the springtime fun with their own annual spring festival and theirs is draped in beads and Cajun vibes.

From Feb. 7, 2026, through Apr. 4, 2026, guests of Universal Studios Florida will be able to revel in the rich and vibrant culture of New Orleans with Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval.

Marvel at magnificent floats gliding past during the Mardi Gras Parade, where shimmering beads catch the light as they fly through the air.

For an additional cost, you can book the Mardi Gras Float Ride and Dine Experience, which includes a delicious meal and the chance to ride on one of the floats and toss beads to the crowd.

Throughout Universal Studios Florida’s Mardi Gras event, you’ll find costumed street performers, lively New Orleans bands, and a lineup of delicious and authentic Cajun cuisine.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a spring theme park festival without some fabulous concerts. Every weekend, you’ll find exciting musicians performing at Music Plaza Stage, lighting up the night with great music.

While the 2026 concert lineup hasn’t been released yet, last year’s headliners included T-Pain, Joe Jonas, Foster the People, Lawrence, and TLC.

Pop the bubbly and start making those resolutions!

While it may seem like 2025 just began, New Year’s Eve will be here before we know it. Whether you’re looking for an epic night out or a daytime party for the kids, you’ll find great NYE celebrations all around Orlando.

On Dec. 31, 2025, party it up at one of these 10 New Year’s Eve celebrations in Orlando.

    Key Takeaways

    1. Boxi Park

An aerial view of Boxi Park in Lake Nona at night with a large crowd of people enjoying entertainment onstage.

Lake Nona’s popular outdoor food hall gives everyone the chance to celebrate New Year’s Eve.

The New Year’s Eve Family Event is the perfect way to celebrate with loved ones. Guests of all ages – but kids in particular – will love face painting, balloon artists, and live DJ vibes.

The party starts at 4 p.m. and leads to a countdown and ball drop at the prime time of 7 p.m.

Then, at 9 p.m., guests 21 and older can ring in the new year with an epic party featuring DJ Digital and live music from the band No Filter.

There will also be a digital ball drop with a Champagne toast at midnight, party favors, photo ops, and other exciting opportunities to celebrate.

In 2024, tickets for the late-night party were $35 when purchased in advance, or you could splurge on VIP tickets for $150, which included no line at the door, an open bar, and reserved seating.

The New Year’s Eve Family Event tickets were $10 in advance ($15 at the door) and free for kids 5 and under.

    2. Jazzberry Jammin’ Noon Year’s Eve at Crayola Experience

Thanks to Jazzberry Jammin’ Noon Year’s Eve, kids can ring in 2026 without staying up past their bedtime.

A woman and three children hold handmade art projects while smiling at the camera.

Head to Crayola Experience in The Florida Mall for an artsy afternoon party. In addition to Crayola Experience’s year-round craft stations, guests will be able to make their own NYE coloring pages, resolution lists, and a special New Year’s crown.

A DJ will spin family-friendly tunes from noon until 4 p.m., and there will be New Year’s countdowns at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

All the noon year’s fun is included with your general admission Crayola Experience ticket.

    3. Afternoon Year’s Eve at the Orlando Science Center

Orlando has something fun for science-loving kiddos, too.

Orlando Science Center (OSC) features four floors of hands-on exhibits on everything from nutrition to the environment.

Every Dec. 31, the museum hosts a daytime dance party in the DinoDigs room. Show off your moves to your new T. Rex friends, then count down to 12 o’clock— noon, that is. Spend the rest of the afternoon learning about STEM fields like meteorology and physics.

Afternoon Year’s Eve is included in OSC admission. In 2024, adult tickets were $27.99, and kids 2-11 got in for $20.99.

    4. Howl at the Moon

End 2025 with a night spent rocking out to your favorite tunes.

Howl at the Moon is a 21+ dueling piano bar on International Drive. Every NYE, they host a fabulous party with incredible live musicians.

The pianists take requests, so feel free to ask them to play your favorite hit song from 2025 (or a riveting rendition of “Auld Lang Syne”).

This year, standing-room-only tickets are $75 per person and include a premium open bar from 9 p.m. until midnight, a Champagne toast at midnight, and party favors.

For $150 per person, you get guaranteed reserved seating and a gourmet buffet dinner with a premium open bar from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Ticket pricing for last year’s event started at $50 for general admission, while a select number of Ice Package tickets and VIP tickets with extended party access and open bar options were available for $85 and $150, respectively.

    9. NYE Live! Orlando’s Block Party at Live! at the Pointe Orlando

While Orlando basks in warm winter temperatures, the chill of ice skating provides the perfect seasonal cool down for couples seeking a more traditional winter experience. Many of Orlando’s ice rinks host public skating hours in the evenings, making them ideal for a holiday date night on the ice.

Skaters of all skill levels can glide over to the Ice Factory of Central Florida, where they host public skating on Fridays and Saturday evenings from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Or lace up your skates at Orlando Ice Den, with public skating also available Fridays and Saturdays plus holiday-themed events to take your date night to a cool new level.

Help yourself to a display of bagels with toppings like pumpkin spice whipped cream cheese and cranberry orange cream cheese, in addition to plain whipped butter and cream cheese.

Don’t forget to pile your plate high with assorted breakfast Danishes and pastries like fig & pecan rugalach, caramel apple scones, and pumpkin cinnamon rolls.

      Entrees

The true stars of the Rosen Shingle Creek Thanksgiving buffet are the savory entrees.

At our carving station, you’ll find a traditional roasted Joyce Farms Free Range Turkey, tender and juicy. There will also be a succulent prime rib with an herb crust made from herbs grown in our onsite garden, Emma’s Creekside Farm.

The entrees don’t stop there. Help yourself to seafood like grilled swordfish with a perfectly seasoned eggplant caponata, or Miso Glazed salmon with delicious forbidden rice.

Reimagine your traditional Thanksgiving main course with melt-in-your-mouth slow cooked beef short ribs, served over a creamy mascarpone polenta. Chicken francese is served with sauteed spinach and a white wine and caper beurre blanc for the perfect fall poultry dish.

Served alongside our entrees will be a variety of traditional Thanksgiving sides like Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, stuffing made with tangy sourdough bread and savory sage, and sweet potato puree topped with a fluffy meringue and crunchy candied pecans.
