When the Goodyear Tire & Rubber company hosts an event, they look to Rosen Shingle Creek® in Orlando, because it’s not only important that their attendees have easy access to the convention center, but with more than 15 onsite dining options, the property has the most vibrant and varied food scene of any hotel in the area.

“Their flexibility of meeting space and their banquet food quality are both fantastic,” Goodyear’s director of customer relations and events, Mark McDonald, said. “They are very creative in putting on a great event around food and beverages.”

The property is now expanding their already exceptional dining options with the new Tobias Burgers & Brews. Attendees can enjoy specialty burgers and flatbread and some local craft beer in a warm pub-like atmosphere. The restaurant’s name comes from one of the lead characters in the historic novel A Land Remembered, set in pioneer Florida, with which this Florida-themed restaurant has an affinity.

Another onsite restaurant that recently got a makeover is Mi Casa Tequila Taqueria. The space doubled in size due to its immense popularity. The new venue features authentic Mexican fixtures, from the cobalt glass to terra-cotta tiles and tin-punched star lighting. Much like A Land Remembered, the property’s high-end steakhouse, and Cala Bella, serving upscale Italian cuisine, there’s romance and authenticity to Mi Casa. Visitors can enjoy tableside-made guacamole and jefe Margaritas, made with pineapple.

If attendees prefer buffet-style, there’s Cafe Osceola, which features extensive buffets three times daily, as well as a full menu. The restaurant was also recently refreshed, in order to intensify its original natural color palate and bring in more vibrant hues of blue, orange, and yellow for a dramatic effect. The new look further emphasizes the hotel’s overall tenant of bringing the outside inside. Sweeping picture windows line the walls of the restaurant, offering lovely views of the hotel’s pristine golf course, pools, and scenic rose garden.

Other dining outlets at Rosen Shingle Creek® include Banrai Sushi, Smoooth Java, and 18 Monroe Street Market, offering 24-7 hot and cold deli options and Rosen’s Perfect Pizza, with a low-fat honey wheat crust, developed by Harris Rosen and his company’s head executive chef Jorge Oliveira. There’s also Par-Take at the golf course, Cat-tails Poolside Bar & Grill, and 24-hour in-room dining for attendees who want to spend a night in.

In case guests are in the mood for nightlife, Headwaters Lounge was recently refreshed with jewel-tone blues and greens, with extensive electronic charging stations tucked under tabletops for guests’ convenience. Clean, crisp white decor and new modern full service bar seating create a hip, modern look for more intimate meetings.

Larger groups can enjoy the property’s standout catering options. Rosen Shingle Creek® has 490,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space that is ready and waiting for the most creative and inventive events and, of course, that includes stellar catering, utilizing the freshest of local ingredients.

Cala Bella even has “living art” wall hangings that contain organic greens, which the sous chefs pluck daily to create fresh organic salads. The hotel also has an organic herb garden that guests can spot poolside near the rose garden. It’s not unusual to see a chef with a basket, plucking the freshest oregano and other spices and herbs to use in dishes.

And no event is too large or demanding for Rosen’s staff. Recently, the hotel’s catering team handily hosted an event of close to 2,000 at its new 1,800-square-foot covered golf pavilion, while simultaneously serving more than 4,000 gathered at the expansive outdoor terrace outside the hotel’s ballrooms—all without breaking a sweat.

“We can make on-the-spot decisions and handle virtually any request an event planner can come up with,” vice president of sales and marketing for Rosen Convention Hotels, Leslie Menichini, said. Going above and beyond for guests is a part of “The Rosen DifferenceⓇ,” a dedication to providing tailored, hands-on solutions for event planners, free of any corporate red tape that’s common with standardized hotel chains. Even the founder and COO of Rosen Hotels & Resorts, Harris Rosen, is regularly on site with event planners to help field requests.

“When evaluating each meeting, Rosen Shingle Creek® always brings top results,” McDonald said. “The banquet staff and food quality is the best in class when compared to other resorts we use. Everyone should put Rosen Shingle Creek® at the top of their list for an important meeting or event.”
