Chef Nick Godzisz
Nick Godzisz spent his youth watching Great Chefs on PBS, savoring his parents’ cooking, and counting down the days until Christmas. Every December, his mother and other female relatives would prepare Christmas treats using a family recipe. Nick and his sister were eager to help. The women happily let them — although now, Chef Nick jokes that he and his sister probably got in the way more than the family let on.
Nick’s sister would be one of the first to encourage him to become a chef. She knew that his love of food, dislike of monotony, and energetic personality would take him far.
Chef Nick went on to earn two associate degrees, one in culinary arts from Orlando Culinary Academy, and the other in hospitality management from Western Culinary Institute in Portland, OR. He’s since continued to challenge himself. For instance, when he served on the opening team for a José Andrés restaurant, he learned as much as possible from his esteemed colleagues.
Godzisz joined the Rosen Shingle Creek team in 2022 and grows more impressed with his teammates’ work ethic every day. In turn, he impresses diners with his cooking and plating talents and dedication to top-tier service.
