Rosen Shingle Creek throwing a parade for young fighter, and you’re invited

As a result of Runway to Hope’s 10th Annual Adam Michael Rosen Foundation Spring Soiree being canceled due to COVID-19, Rosen Shingle Creek is honoring the event and its purpose in a different way — with a parade!

In 2017, when he was 8 years old, Caleb Morales was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a rare form of brain cancer. At the beginning of this year, Caleb and his family were planning his end of chemotherapy party when he relapsed. On Feb. 5, Caleb’s results showed that a new malignant tumor was present and more aggressive than the first one; he then began a trial treatment in Miami. Despite this, his family continues to have hope and enjoy their time with Caleb.

This Saturday, May 9 at 4 p.m. at Rosen Shingle Creek, Caleb’s friends and neighbors, Runway supporters, and anyone else who would like to participate will gather in the hotel’s self-parking lot to create a festive parade for the 11-year-old boy. As the parade’s grand marshall, Caleb will be seated center stage with his family to enjoy the parade of cars as they drive by to honor his fight against cancer.

Leading the parade will be Harris Rosen, local hotelier and philanthropist, whose 26-year-old son Adam succumbed to Glioblastoma on Nov. 23, 2018. Runway to Hope’s annual spring gala was renamed in 2019 to honor him.

Decorations, signs of encouragement, and costumed drivers are all welcome to the parade. If you’re interested in attending or participating, you must arrive at the hotel’s self-parking lot by 3:30 p.m., with staging to begin at 3:45 p.m. Rosen Shingle Creek is located at 9939 Universal Blvd., Orlando, FL 32819.
