Hair-raising Haunted Houses at Halloween Horror Nights
HHN is famous (or rather, infamous) for its themed haunted houses.
Once you enter one, your only way out is through a macabre, monster-filled maze. You never know when a scare actor will jump out and give you the fright of your life.
Many of the houses draw inspiration from popular horror franchises, while others are Universal’s own creepy creations.
In 2025, there will be 10 haunted houses at Halloween Horror Nights. Universal Orlando is slowly announcing their new themes, building a fearful sense of anticipation.
These are the Haunted Houses we know about so far:
- Based on the hit show and game franchise, the Fallout haunted house transports brave guests to post-apocalyptic L.A. You’ll face raiders and bounty hunters in an eerie wasteland.
- The second haunted house announced is Jason Un1v3erse, where you’ll step into the summer camp where the iconic horror villain’s gruesome story began. Nothing can save you as you come face to face with Jason Voorhees himself.
- El Artista: A Spanish Haunting follows the haunting journey of a tortured artist in an isolated country manor with ghostly hallways and haunted corridors. Can you find your way out as his art comes to life and possesses him?
- As you wander through Hatchet and Chains: Demon Bounty Hunters, you’ll find yourself in an Old West town possessed by red-hot lava demons crawling out of a portal from hell.
- Dolls: Let’s Play Dead embraces the creepy essence of lifelike toys as you become doll-sized and enter the world of a twisted little girl. Stalked by her frightening creations, you’ll end up in a Victorian doll house possessed by undead horrors.
- You’re the guest of honor at your own funeral in Grave of Flesh, where you’ll pass through the Underworld amidst flesh-eaters who feed on the dead. Will you escape or forever be mercilessly hunted underground?
Gálkn: Monsters of the North is an icy horror story that takes place in a remote northern village that’s been possessed by a wicked being and hoards of monsters and demons from the fjords.
We’ll keep you updated as more of the 2025 HHN haunted houses are announced leading up to the event’s start date.
Lines for the haunted houses can be scarily long. If you’re dead set on doing all 10 houses in a night, strongly consider buying a Halloween Horror Nights Express Pass. This upgrade fast-tracks you to the front of each of the house’s line.
Scream-inducing Scare Zones
Think you’re safe outside of the haunted houses? Think again.
In 2025, Halloween Horror Nights will feature a variety of scare zones (there were five during 2024’s event).
Watch your back when passing through these outdoor areas. Ghastly creatures are everywhere, waiting for unwitting park guests to cross their paths.
Themes for this year’s scare zones will be announced in the coming months. Stay tuned for updates and details.
Eerie Entertainment & Eats
When exploring Halloween Horror Nights, it’s easy to feel like you’re the star of your own horror movie.
Take a moment to breathe at one of HHN’s live shows.
One of last year’s shows was Nightmare Fuel: Nocturnal Circus, a jam-packed performance with otherworldly stunts, acrobatics, and sensational rock rhythms.
A selection of Universal Studios rides will stay open during Halloween Horror Nights.
Trade your chills for thrills while you board rides like Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, Men in Black: Alien Attack, and Revenge of the Mummy.
Lines for these attractions tend to be shorter during Halloween Horror Nights. But if you spring for a Halloween Horror Nights Express Pass, it’ll get you right on these rides, too.
You’re likely to work up an appetite while running through the fog.
Luckily, there will be lots of devilishly delicious food at Halloween Horror Nights 2025.
Last year, guests could get everything from colorful candy apples to fan-favorite Twisted Taters. 2025’s menu of exclusive treats will be released prior to the event.
You can also quench your thirst with creative cocktails, craft beer, and ice-cold soft drinks.
Year-round Fright is on the Rise at Epic Universe
Halloween doesn’t last forever — or does it? The long-awaited opening of Universal’s newest park, Epic Universe, has finally arrived. And it’s bringing something horror lovers can enjoy all year long.
Dark Universe transports you to an eerie village known as Darkmoor. It’s home of all the Universal legendary monsters that come out to wreak havoc annually during spooky season.
Joining their side is the next generation of creepy characters, such as Dr. Victoria Frankenstein, the great-great-granddaughter of Henry Frankenstein.
Dark Universe features a variety of new attractions, such as the incredible ride, Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment.
You can also meet a variety of classic monsters, get a ghoulish makeover at the Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience, check out a twisted family-friendly coaster called Curse of the Werewolf, and so much more.
