Chef Ricky Lopez – Café Osceola
Chef Ricky Lopez joined Rosen Shingle Creek in 2008 as a specialty chef for the two fine dining restaurants. After just a few months, his extraordinary skill was rewarded with a promotion to head chef of Cala Bella. Prior to joining Rosen Hotels & Resorts, Lopez spent three years as the executive banquet chef at the Omni Orlando Resort at Champions Gate. Throughout his 15-year long culinary career, he has worked in some of the finest hotels in Florida and Puerto Rico, including Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando and Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Kissimmee, Miami’s Fountainebleau Hilton Resort and El San Juan Hotel and Casino and the Caribe Hilton Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico. “Soaking up the cooking ambiance of Italy,” Lopez feels he has found his culinary home at Cala Bella.
